How do I submit a meme to the contest?

There are three accepted categories you can submit memes as:

  • Images

  • GIF

  • Short Videos

    • Any videos submitted must be 15 seconds or less. We encourage players to upload short videos to Youtube as public.

To submit a meme to one of the categories, make a meme, share it to our discord in the #meme-contest channel. Submissions will be accepted from June 14th (12:00 am PT) through June 27th (11:59 pm PT). Be sure to include your Rec Room @username in the image or caption of the meme.

During the contest we’ll be featuring your submissions on the Rec Room Instagram and Twitter so be sure to tag your photos with #RecRoom when posting to Instagram or Twitter if you’d like the chance to have your submission featured to the community.

Prizes

Each winner will receive the Golden Camera Skin and 5,000 tokens. There are 10 winners in the three accepted categories for a total of 30 winners.

Rules and Timeline

  • The contest starts on June 14th (12:00 am PT) and ends on June 27th (11:59 pm PT)

  • Only memes made within this time period will be considered valid submissions.

  • Media submitted must originate from Rec Room to qualify. Post-processing (editing) is allowed.

  • Make sure your content follows the Code of Conduct! Radio edits of audio within a video meme are allowed.

  • Include your Rec Room @username within the meme or in the caption.

  • We only will allow a single winner per one submission.

  • Content is judged based on the media itself. Captions (that are not included as part of the image/gif) will not be considered!

  • Players must have a confirmed email on their Rec Room account so that we can contact them if they win.

  • Multiple submissions are allowed, but we prefer quality over quantity!

  • If you already have the golden camera skin from a previous contest, an additional 5,000 tokens will be issued instead.

  • Reuploads of another creator's content may disqualify all of your submissions.
